Glad to hear it's not put you or Jane off, Paul. My wife Sue and I had an accident back in June when a mate of mine ran up the back of us at a roundabout. I'd approached in the wrong lane, so needed to cut across both. They weren't both empty, so we stopped. My "advanced driver" (in/on 3 different vehicle types) mate didn't see us stop and shunted us 15 feet into the roundabout. He went straight over his handlebars and broke a rib in the process.

Sue was pinned under the swingarm of the bike and badly bruised her leg (it's only just finished healing). His bike was written off and mine had about 1500 of damage. I felt guilty as hell that I'd not been hurt but Sue had. Fortunately it didn't put her off, and we happily go out most weekends again now.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, don't they say?

All the best
