Cheers chaps.
Well, I think I really need to bite the bullet on this one. A crashed bike would be more expensive than half a tyre. Even reduced riding pleasure is false economy. New 020f soon. Then I shall try out your sus settings Mike. I definitely agree about front compression being too hard as standard. But full rear preload and compression seems a bit drastic. Also, being not very tall either (5'9") I like the back sagging a bit, so I can put me feet down!! I think if I stiffen the back I will need to get the forks raised back to normal or it might be even more twitchy afterwards. Shortly followed by some high heels!

Oh, and how come you run your tyres 2psi 'too soft'? I thought 39r and 36f.

Norm. Yep, MEZ4s are horrible. I'm not too hard on tyres either, and always wonder who these guys are that only get 4000 out of a set. But I do know how much difference a soft or squared off tyre makes. 10psi? You must have thought someone had nicked your Fazer and replaced it with a SpaceHopper!

I shall follow the golden rule and change one thing at a time. Hopefully when the weather improves I'll get to meet you guys on a run (at least the ones in Norm's neck of the woods). I ride all year, but I have noticed the Meets forum hasn't been touched for a while!
Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.
