Right guys...I am keen to do the run I mentioned in the thread on Mikes trip to Turkey...Martin ( ninjabiker ) is keen too. The bones of the trip are -
- 3 days ride through France and Spain to get to Trevs or Mikes place . The route will be a mix of motorway and the pretty stuff. Its not just a mad fast blast there and back ! I have ridden down to the Pyrenees twice now, in 2 days, and its not an extreme ride to do so. The day getting down to Trev is likely to be mostly motorway though.
- spend 3 days with the "spaniards" ...riding their wonderful roads and savouring local cuisine...
- 3 day trip back , on a slightly different route to see more of France.
All in all I am thinking 9 - 10 days.
Ideally we would stay in the budget end of accomodation , plus its easier to book online. I know a few really nice hotels, but for transit stops, I dont know if its really worth the extra cost.I was hoping our spanish brethren will be able to find us suitable accomodation their end .. we are not expecting to crash in anyones backyard !
We are thinking of late september / early October ...but timing is flexible , and we will take suggestions from Mike and Trev as to what dates are likely to be best for the weather.
It would be nice to get some more guys going , so anyone is welcome !
I see this as the first " continental " fazer meet !!
.... so
lets get some more support !... I was not expecting 60 bikes... but half a dozen would be nice !
cheers
Jon
