Right, I know I asked this question about a year ago, and the reply was 'ride more worry less', which I have been doing.
As mentioned in other threads, I've just been all round the edges of Scotland (fantastic, do it!) and then down to Bournemouth via the Lake District. This
comprised of a total of 2,000 miles in one week. In this time I got through A WHOLE LITRE of 10W40 Semi Synth.
So, same question: is this reasonable? I worked it out - burning oil at this rate means I need never do another oil change, as it is using the whole lot every
6000 miles effectively! Should I be trading it in for another one at a dealer a long way from my house? People have commented that they see smoke from my pipe
when I open it up, but I had hoped this was just unburnt fuel. Should I be riding less and worrying more?
