Posted this on another well known Fazer site with no response so thought I'd try here!!!
Just been Mot'd (pass) and watched the brake efficiency test being done.....(I sat on the bike and tested actually)....The results were 51% front and 31% rear
which I now know is well within the requirements, but the method of test surprised me and I wonder if my results suggest that my brakes are as sharp as they can be?
The tester winched my bike forward (connected to a guage) with me pressing the brakes in turn. Not sure why he stopped when he dis as I didnt feel the brakes give at all. Could be just the tyre slipping couldn't it?
I wonder if those in the know can explain and also tell me if the Fazer thou brakes would normally give similar results?
